"The statement signifies the rich heritage of vegetation cover in India with a wide and categorised

variety as per the climate, surroundings, soil type and atmosphere. The vegetation cover in India

ranges from Tropical evergreen to Alpine vegetation and is broadly divided into five types of it. The

vegetation cover depends on the regional conditions and adaptability. 5 types of it being divided as

follows-

""Moist Tropical"" i.e., ""Tropical Evergreen Forests"" which has a varied cover of plants and vegetation.

""Tropical Deciduous Forests"" that are the monsoon forests based on the regional climate.

""Tropical Thorn and scrub forest"" that signifies desert vegetation.

""Tidal Forests"".

Lastly, ""Alpine Forests"" also termed as the mountain forests found in Himalayan Ranges and Peninsular plateaus."
