Govt. must undertake programs associated with drinking water supply, building well-planned houses and permanent roads, irrigation systems, where these national assets will generate the needed jobs and increase the buying power of the villagers. Rapid decrease in forest resources and vast soil erosion can be controlled by large scale plantation on arable wastelands and village roads.
- Cultivation of fruits vegetables, and compound fish of high value are lucrative professions. However, farmers mistrust bulk production since they are worried this would create a surplus in the village market, leading to a decrease in prices. National chain of cooperatives aiding the marketing, storage, transportation, and distribution network will help producers as well as consumers. The need for cooperatives with sufficient facilities for healthcare of animals and plants, persevering runoff water from ponds, proper utilisation of groundwater, use of wind and solar energy, the use of agricultural wastes and installation of biogases facility, all of these can generate employment opportunities.
