there is mistake in a sentence either you or i are getting the award .subject verb- arregement se

sneharao001: why has the tense been changed while the problem is actually with Subject- verb arrangement? Correct me if I'm wrong , but shouldn't the sentence actually be - "Either you or ME IS getting the award." ? In this case, the verb (is) agrees with the subject ( you OR me - Or making it singular). Also in standard english it is grammatically correct to say - you or me and You and me.
Do you need the reasons for the changes in more detail?
aditya7272: ok sorry
aditya7272: you are right
sneharao001: not a problem...
