By saying this poet probably means you can't run away from fate because some things are predestined. It doesn't matter what you try, you can't defend yourself against the fate and it is truth which can't be denied.

This is my first time answering this type of question.

By the way according to science future is not fixed anything can happen which is completely opposite of past which can't be changed.
