When electricity is passed through the solution Hydrogen and chlorine are liberated along side sodium hydroxide (NaOH).

This sodium hydroxide is basic in nature, thus, changing the color from red to blue.

Voldemort2364: if it is helpful pleasark ot as brainliest
Voldemort2364: *please mark it
vaibhavs1287: but where is sodium hydroxide in question
Voldemort2364: actually due to the current passed, the solution is broken into Hydrogen from water , chlorine fron NaCl and the oxygen and hydrogen reacts with Na to form NaOH
