Answer:  Difference between continuous and discontinuous variation

All living beings exhibit variation and in practically every character and in almost all directions. the differences shown by the individual of species and also by the offspring of the same parents are referred to as variation. All organised change themselves in order to adapt themselves to the changing environment otherwise they fail to survive.

Explanation :   Continuous variation are a small indistinct differences from the average conditions, they are already present in population, it is also known as fluctuating variations, unstable and non -inheritable and are very common and found in all organisms and most of their organs. However discontinuous variation are large conspicuous difference from the parents, they are new variation, it is known as mutation, usually the stable and inheritable and they appear suddenly and few cases only.
