Sentences are of of 4 types :-
✍Assertive sentences.
✍Interrogative sentences
✍Exclamatory sentences.
✍Imperative sentences.
✴It is a simple statement .
✴They are of two types.
- Negative
- Positive.
Negative => Andy does not play with us since he is senior to us in age.
Postive => I go to school everyday.
✴The sentences used to ask questions.
=> Do u prefer tea to coffee?
Note - They end with a question mark(?)
✴The sentences which express some strong feeling or emotion are called Exclamatory Sentences
=> What a piece of work !

✴Sentences which express order, command, request ,suggestion etc are called Imperative Sentences.
=> Sit down quickly.
