There is some water in a cylindrical vessel of radius 7.2 cm. The surface of water increases by 5 cm when a cylinder of radius 4 cm immersed in it. Find the height immersed cylinder.

This is easy to understand if u know Archimedes principle
Even if u don't,
Understand this:
Amount of volume rise in water = Volume of cylinder
As water is a liquid and takes the shape of the container
it's volume is considered to be cylindrical
Volume of water risen=Volume of cylinder immersed
π*7.2*7.2*5=π*4*4*h
H=16.2
Height of cylinder immersed is 16.2cm
