There is this activity in which there are three bowls with hot, cold and normal water respectively and we dip one of our hands in the hot water and one in cold water. after a while, we take out both the hands and put them in the normal water. Why is it so that the hand which was in hot water felt cold and the hand which was in the cold water felt hot?

The cold hands temperature is comparatively less than the normal water so the heat transfers to colder side. The hot hands temperature transferred to the normal water so that hand felt colder.

this was coz the cold water hand temperature was low than the normal water hand temperature so it felt hot and the hot water hand temperature was high than the normal water hand temperature so it felt cold.
