Given :-

A room is 120 m long and 100 m broad.

To find :-

The cost of tilling it's floor if the cost of tilling per sq.m is Rs. 25

Solution :-

Given that

Length of the room (l) = 120 m

Breadth of the room (b) = 100 m

We know that

Area of a rectangle = length × breadth sq.units

Area of the floor of the room = 120×100 m²

Area of the floor of the room = 12000

The cost of tilling the floor per 1 m²

= Rs. 25

The total cost of tilling the floor of the room of 12000 m²

= 12000×25

= Rs. 300000

Answer :-

The total cost of tilling the floor of the room is Rs. 3,00,000

Used formulae:-

Area of a rectangle = length × breadth sq.units
