there r many exceptional cases in metals as well as non metals

ex. graphite is a non metal bt still it is a good cndctr of elctrcty which is a chrctstcs of a metal not a non metal

iodine which is a non metal bt still it has shine or lustruos . we know it is a chrcts of a metal

so why we dnt classify these exceptional case in the catogary of metalloids as they possess chrcts of both of them
