There’s a silver house in the lovely sky, As round as a silver crown; It takes two weeks to build it up, And two to pull it down. There’s a man who lives in the silver house, In a lonely sort of way; But what his name is no one knows, Or no one likes to say. Yet when you go to bed tonight, Just draw the window blind, And peep out at the silver moon, This lonely man to find. But if his house is taken down, And all the sky is bare, Then go to bed, because, of course, The poor man won’t be there. Questions. 1. What is described in the above poem. 2. Who lives in the silver house? 3. Write any two pairs of rhyming words from the poem. 4. How many days does it take to build up and pull down?

The above line has been taken from the poem The Silver House written by John Lea.

1). In the poem, "the silver house" implies the silver moon in the lovely sky.

The two weeks to build it up means the weeks required for the moon to complete its journey from the new phase to the full moon phase.

The two weeks to pull it down implies the two weeks during which the moon keeps decreasing its size.

2). The poet says that there is a lonely man who lives in the silver house.

3). The two pairs of rhyming words are blind - find and bare - there.

4). It takes two weeks to build it up and two weeks to build it down.

I hope that helped.
