There is no place like home
The saying goes ‘East or best home is the best’. Undoubtedly, even heaven looks dull when compared to the joys, comforts, and love we get at home. Often we take our home for granted. We don’t realize its value until we have to stay away from the comfort cocoon of our home. Living with our family members for years together, enjoying the blessings of a happy, luxurious life, we often feel an urge for a change. However, when away, we realize, how incomplete we feel without our home.
Recently I saw a video on a Facebook, posted by an NRI living in USA. The video brought tears to my eyes. The one who posted it had made the video while working in a warehouse. His heart touching reminiscences of his pre-immigration life that he enjoyed at his home in India is a must watch for everyone to realize the importance of home.
If you really want to know the value of home, I would advise you to talk to a person who is forced to live away from his family. Have you ever seen NRI’s love for their motherland and native homes? If not, I would suggest you to meet an NRI and ask him/her what being away from home entails. Being away from home is like being away from the center of life.
Home is the place where we get physical, mental, spiritual, intellectual, emotional comfort and relaxation. If there were no homes the people would become depressed, lonely, and neurotic. Don’t you just feel an urge to rush to home-sweet-home after the school, office, or the day’s work? How serene and at home we feel everything at our home!
Our godlike mother is always cooking, washing, cleaning, and waiting for us at home! Our generous father is always there providing for all our needs! Our loving siblings never let us feel lonely with their garrulous company. Home is the base of our existence. We must thank God who provided home to each human being on this planet!
