Let water in tank B be x
So, water in tank A = 3x
Now,
As per question

 \frac{3x + 50}{x + 50}  =  \frac{5}{2}
Or,
2(3x + 50) = 5 ( x+50)
Or,
6x + 100 = 5x + 250
Or, x = 150

Therefore,
Water in tank B was 150 litres
And in tank A was = 3* 150 = 450 litres

So, difference of water =450-150 = 300

Therefore, tank A had 300 litres water more than tank B.

Hope this will be helping you
