To remove the subtraction:-
LCM is required of both the fractions.

4/5-1/3
LCM of 5&3 is 15(since both are prime numbers)

12/15 — 5/15
=7/15

Answer:

\red {Portion\:of \: Pie  \: remaining } \green {=\frac{7}{15}\:of \: the \:pie }

Step-by-step explanation:

 Portion \:of \: pie \:left \: in \: the \: Fridge = \frac{4}{5}

 Portion \: pie \: ate \: Daniel \\= \frac{1}{3}\:of \: the \: pie

 Portion \: remaining = \frac{4}{5} - \frac{1}{3}\\= \frac{12-5}{15} \\= \frac{7}{15}

Therefore.,

\red {Portion\:of \: Pie  \: remaining } \green {=\frac{7}{15}\:of \:the \:pie }
