Last night exactly right after me and my dad got home….around 8:30 PM I heard a noise that sounded to me like it was gas or fire…I rushed outside only to see my neighbor's house burst into flames and explode.

Some neighbors tried to pour water on it but the fire only seemed to increase.

If everyone in my neighborhood wouldn't have called 911, we would have been screwed.

This is where I live in Chimayo, NM.

The fire department took a while to get to the house, but at least they came….they came around 9:15 PM.

The firefighters stayed all night till leaving around 1:25 AM.

From my knowledge no one was killed, including my pyro neighbor whose house burnt down. This neighbor back in June of 2009 was torching his field near our house and the fire was inches away from our propane tank….we could have died…but thankfully one of our neighbors called 911.

I wish no one bad, but our neighbor has serious issues….especially with fire.

Its like the saying goes, if you play with fire long enough, eventually you will get burnt.

I just hope he learned his lesson to be more cautious, I don't think he started the fire, it was a terrible accident…but this is what happens when you don't know fire safety….he has way too many flammable things in and around his house and it sounded as if bullets were being exploded as the fire continued to rage on and explosions went off…I might be wrong, I don't know.

All I can say is that I am extremely lucky it didn't get to my house or anybody else's.

Initial footage I started to take right as the flames were bursting….me and my dad would have tried to stop the fire….but we didn't have long enough hoses, we were sitting ducks basically. The left side of my neighbor's house is completely destroyed.

What the house looked like last night after firefighters were putting out the fire.

And lastly as you can see here….the aftermath of the fire. I took this photo this morning around 6 AM….the right side of the house is completely destroyed, left side has minor damages.
