Since the robbers got away in a truck, someone must be knowing how to drive, we know that B does not know how to drive, therefore either A or C would have been with him to drive the truck(no information is given about their driving so we assume they both know how to drive), in the first case, where B is with A, A is directly guilty, and in the second case, where B is with C, we know that C does not commit's a crime without A's participation, thus, A was with them too. This concludes that in both the possible cases, A was involved, and was definitely guilty
