A major train accident took place last night near Bapunagar. The Janta Express went off the rails and the engine and four leading bogies were completely smashed. Terrified passengers started jumping from doors. This added to the number of casualties. Men, women and children were crying in pain. Sixty people were killed in this accident. The people who were injured severely were taken to the nearest hospital. Those who had minor injuries were released after first aid while others were detained for treatment.The Government is trying its best to help the injured passengers. An immediate enquiry is to be conducted in the matter.
