"There are three reasons for the declination of the Indian textile industries by the end of the 19th century are: -
Textiles from India had a high demand in Europe. So, the British passed the strict laws and also banned the import of textiles in Britain.
Also, India had no support from the British colonial government.
After the industrial revolution, Britain also started producing the machine which made textiles that were very often to the better quality and also cheaper than the Indian textiles.
