Here if the number of animals will be decreased then the no of days in which the food will last will increase. Hence we can say that it is in indirect propertion.

So , Here /- X¹ × Y¹ = X² × Y²

or , X¹/X² = Y¹/Y²

Hence according to the question ,

20 × 6 = 24 × Y²

Here Y² will be 20 + 4 = 24 Animals

-> ( 20 × 6 ) / 24 = Y²

-> Y² = 120 / 24

-> Y² = 5

Therefore,the food will last 5 ( Five ) days if 4 more animals are brought.

Note : Here ² Doesn't mean Square it's used to differentiate between X and Y.
