Answer:

50 Kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Weight of the berries with moisture = 100 kg

Moisture content = 99%

i.e. in 100 kg 99 kg is the weight of water and 1 kg is the weight of berries

Moisture content = Weight of water/Weight of berries with water %

When the moisture content is 98%, let us assume that the weight of water is X

Then

98=\frac{X}{X+1}\%

\implies 98=\frac{X}{X+1}\times 100

\implies 0.98=\frac{X}{X+1}

\implies 0.98X+0.98=X

\implies 0.02X=0.98

\implies X=\frac{0.98}{0.02}

\implies X=49 Kg

Therefore, the total weight of the basket of berries

=49+1

=50 Kg
