Answer :-

  • Number of children in the parade = 865

Given :-

  • Total number of people in parade = 3245.

  • Number of men in parade = 1400

  • Number of women in parade = 980

To Find :-

  • Number of children present in parade.

Step By Step Explanation :-

Total number of people in parade will be equal to sum of number of men, women and children.

♠ Total number of people in parade = men + women + children.

Total number of people in parade = 3245

Men in parade = 1400

Women in parade = 980

Children = x

By substituting

 \implies \sf3245 = 1400 + 980 + x \\  \\\implies \sf 3245 = 2380  + x \\  \\\implies \sf 3245 - 2380 = x \\  \\ \implies \bf865 = x

Therefore number of children in the parade = 865.
