There were 5 kg 850 g of potatoes in a basket. 1 by 3 of it were used for cooking on the first day. 3 by 4 of the remaining potatoes were used on the second day . How much potatoes were left in the basket ? Answer with solution step by step. ​

Potatoes used first day

 =  \frac{1}{3} \times 5850g \\  = 1950g

Remaining=5850g-1950g=3900g

Potatoes used second day

 =  \frac{3}{4} \times 3900 \\ :\longrightarrow \: 2925

Remaining=3900-2925=975g

☆Hence,975g of potatoes are left in the basket.
