Algebra

Given:

850 students are studying in higher standards.

Ratio of number of students in class 10: class 11: class 12 is 8:5:4.

Number of boys  in class 10 is 30% of the number of students in school.

In class 11th number of boys and girls is equal.

In class 12th the number of boys is three times the number of girls.

To find:

Present above data in tabular form.

Explanation:

Number of students in Std. 10 = \frac{8}{17} \times 850 = 400

Number of boys in Std. 10 = 850 \times\frac{30}{100} = 255

∴ Number of girls in Std. 10 = (400 - 255 )= 145

Number of students in Std. 11 = \frac{5}{17} \times850 = 250

(Std. 11) Number of boys = Number of girls =\frac{250}{2}=125

Number of students in Std. 12 = \frac{4}{17}\times 850 = 200

Number of boys in class 12th =\frac{3}{4} \times200 = 150

Number of  girls in class 12th = \frac{1}{4} \times 200 = 50

All data in lowest form is  shown in tabular form.

It is attached in image.
