Importance of chloroplast

Chloroplast consist of chlorophyll which is really important for plants. Presence of Chlorophyll is necessary for the process of photosynthesis to take place because for food preparation of plant through the process of photosynthesis, light energy in the form of chemical energy is required and the chlorophyll traps the light energy and convert it into the chemical energy which is used up by the plants and without chloroplast no Chlorophyll will be present and with absence of chlorophyll no generation of food and energy for plants through the process of photosynthesis will take place. Thus, the plant will automatically not servive. Hence, there will be no plant life if chloroplast does not exist.
