In Water H2O molecules strongly attract each other through intermoleclular H bonding which is not present in H2S. water molecule is more stabilized due to hydrogen bonding. So the thermal stability of H2O is more.

Thermal stability of water is much higher than that of H_2S because of presence of hydrogen bonding in H_2O

Explanation:

H_2O has higher thermal stability than H_2S as H_2O molecules are bonded by strong hydrogen bonding present between the hydrogen atom and a highly electronegative oxygen atom.

In H_2S, the hydrogen bonding can not be formed as sulphur is not that electronegative and thus decomposes at lower temperatures.
