A plastic which can be softened repeatedly by heating and can be moulded into different shapes again and again, is called thermoplastic. example : polythene and polyvinyl chloride (pvc) . a plastic which once set, does nit becone soft on heting and cannot be moulded a second time, is calked a thermosetting plastic. exampke : bakelite and melamine
