Thermoplastics are easily deformed upon heating whereas thermosetting plastics become hardened.
What is the reason for this?

Because Thermosetting plastic contains cross linked chain polymers Where as thermo plastics contain linear chain polymers. It is difficult to deform the matierial which is made up of cross linked chain polymers.
