Heya !!!
Here is your answer.
Plastics are of two types :
▶Thermoplastics
▶Thermosetting plastics
Thermoplastics are not used to make saucepan handles because these plastics can melt when exposed to enough heat.
So, these handles are made of themosetting plastics which do not melt easily.
Hope It Helps

hiii!!!
here's ur answer...
we know that there r two types of plastics..
>> thermoplastic
>> thermosetting plastic
THERMOPLASTIC - these are the plastics which can be melt and can be remolded in any other shape on heating. for example :- polythene, PVC etc.
THERMOSETTING PLASTIC - these are the plastic which can't be remolded and we can't change it's shape by heating. for example :- bakelite, melamine etc.
now, come to the question..
why thermoplastic is not used for making saucepan handles?
as i told u before that thermoplastic can be melt on heating and if we use thermoplastic for saucepan handles then it could melt and can be dangerous.
whereas, if we use thermosetting plastic instead of thermoplastic, then it will be safe as it can't be melt on heating and we can easily handle.
hope this helps..!!
