These are the numericals in physics of chapter - pressure

Q1)what force will exert a pressure of 50000 pascals on an area of 0.5 meter square ?
Q2)find out the area of a body which experiences a pressure of 500 pascals by a force of 100 N
Q3)calculate the pressure exerted by a force of 300N(newton) acting on an area of 30cm square
Q4)what will be force required to exert a pressure of 20000 pascal on an area of 1 cm square ?

so these are the questions to be answered ... referring to the answers you can give the solutions :) plzzzz help me out with this its urgent . it is to be submitted by tomorrow itself!!!
Answers for the above questions are :(Q1) 25000N (Q2) 0.2 meter square (Q3) 10 N cm-square = 100,000 pascal (Q4) 2 N

Pressure is defined as the force exerted (on a surface) per unit surface area.   Pressure is a scalar.

P = F / A,      Its unit is Pascal = Newton / meter².   There are also some other units in use for pressure.

1)   F = P * A = 50, 000 Pascals * 0.5 meter =  25, 000 Pascals or N/m²

2)  Surface Area A = Force / Pressure = 100 N / 500 pa  = 1/5 m²

3)  Area = 30 cm² = 30 / (100*100)  meter²

     Pressure = F / A = 300 N / (3/1000) = 100 * 1000 pa  = 1 * 10⁵ pa

4 )  Area =  1 cm² = (1/100)² meter²
        Force needed = P A  = 20, 000 pa * (1/100²) m²  =  2 Newtons

Anonymous: thanks
AlekhyaSistu: I too have given the same answer
kvnmurty: you have written F = ma .. that formula is different
kvnmurty: i did not say your calculations were wrong. i asked for correction of the formula. but u did not do. if u want write answer again please

Explanation:

Pressure is defined as the force exerted (on a surface) per unit surface area. Pressure is a scalar.

P = F / A, Its unit is Pascal = Newton / meter². There are also some other units in use for pressure.

1) F = P * A = 50, 000 Pascals * 0.5 meter = 25, 000 Pascals or N/m²

2) Surface Area A = Force / Pressure = 100 N / 500 pa = 1/5 m²

3) Area = 30 cm² = 30 / (100*100) meter²

Pressure = F / A = 300 N / (3/1000) = 100 * 1000 pa = 1 * 10⁵ pa

4 ) Area = 1 cm² = (1/100)² meter²

Force needed = P A = 20, 000 pa * (1/100²) m² = 2 Newtons
