These days most of the electrical devices we use required A.C voltage. Why?

because dc cannot provide high current and ac can provide high current to machines several at a time

Rajdeep11111: a 12V battery provides more dc current than a 5V ac charger
Rajdeep11111: amount of currenr depends on the electro motive force, not ac or dc

This is because an AC voltage can be very easily stepped up and stepped Down by respective transformers. Thus from 220V of your house, you can get 10000V for your television, 5V for charging your mobile phone and 6V for doorbell.

It is cheaper to generate AC current than DC current. An AC current can be very easily generated by rotating a conductor in a magnetic field.

The loss of energy in the form of heat during transmission is negligible.

The AC can easily be converted into DC by using diode, triode or transistors. But doing the opposite is very difficult and to some extent, impossible.
