These days 'people seem to prefer cotton to synthetic fibres. Why do you think it is so?

In summer people wear cotton clothes to synthetic fibres because cotton clothes have small pores in it which, when worn, helps to reduce heat from our body. It helps to absorb sweat and increases rate of evaporation and makes us feel comfortable, whereas synthetic clothes don't have pores and thus when worn it does not allow the heat to escape and so we feel very uncomfortable.
