Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilize the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. Forests cover about 30 percent of the world’s land area, but they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Between 1990 and 2016, the world lost 502,000 square miles (1.3 million square kilo meters) of forest, according to the World Bank—an area larger than South Africa. Since humans started cutting down forests, 46 percent of trees have been felled, according to a 2015 study in the journal Nature. About 17 percent of the Amazonian rain forest has been destroyed over the past 50 years, and losses recently have been on the rise.
Trees are locked into a half hydro logical water cycle. With no goodness coming up through the roots, and only the falling rain to feed them the pollutants it picks up on it's fall to the earth.
Once a root enters a sewer pipe, the conditions of aeration, moisture, and nutrients are quite favorable for rapid growth. Species that are naturally found in wet areas such as poplars, willows, and silver maples, are commonly associated with clogged pipes. Blocked sewers usually must be cleared mechanically. Mechanical routing may be needed on an annual basis. Registered chemical treatments are available. The only permanent solution to the problem, however, is to replace ruptured pipes.
Lets forget the past and build a good future for the trees by implementing an immediate remineralisation plan around each tree that would immediately alter soil conditions.
Providing mulches around each tree could be done to change the P.H. of incoming acid or polluted rainfall.Providing water feed sources for each tree. There are many ways to help trees. They could all use a little help .
