If ABC is a right angled triangle right angled at B

then AC = 25 cm ( given )

let other side be x

then one side be 5 + x

ATQ

25² = x² + (x+5)²

625 = 2x² + 25 + 10x

2x² + 10x -600 = 0

x² + 5x - 300 = 0

a = 1

b = 5

x = - 300

D = b² - 4ac

= 25 - ( 4 x 1 x (-300)

= 25 + 1200

= 1225

two roots are -b+√D/2a and -b-√D/2a

-5 + √1225 /2  and -5 -√1225 / 2

-5 + 35 /2 and -5 -35/2

30/2 and -40/2

15 and -20

negative value will be neglected as side of triangle cant be negative so
x= 15 cm

5 + x = 20 cm

Area of triangle = 1/2 x b x h

= 1/2 x 15 x 20

= 150 cm²

area of triangle is
1×base×height/2
=1/2×20×15
=150 centimeter²......
......
......
