What is a question tag?

• A question tag is a mini question that is added to the end of a statement to confirm an information or shows surprise.

How is a question tag made?

• We make a question tag using the auxiliary verb of the sentence and a personal pronoun. If a sentence does not have an auxiliary verb, then the appropriate form of the auxiliary verb 'do' is used.
• As the statement, 'They are not yet ready' is a negative one we will add a positive question tag to it.
