Rules for changing Direct speech into Indirect speech:-

★ The inverted commas are omitted in the direct speech .

★ The tense of the reporting verb should never be changed.

★ We use linker before the Indirect speech.

★ The first letter with an inverted commas will not remind capital in the invited speech .

★ The pronoun should be changed according to the sense of speech.

He said, "I do it."

He said that he did it.

The boy will say, "I am busy."

The boy will say that he is busy.

The teacher said, "The sun rises in the east."

He asked her mother if she was weeping.
