Step-by-step explanation:

Let the unit term= x

Tenth Term = y

Number = 10y+x

Now, According to the question

X + y= 9 - - - - - (1)

And,

9(10y +x) =2(10x +y)

=>90y + 9x = 20x +2y

=>20x - 9x + 2y - 90y=0

=> 11x - 88y =0

=>11(x - 8y) = 0

=> x - 8y =0

=> x = 8y - - - - (2)

Putting the value of x in equation (1),

8y +y = 9

=> 9y =9

=> y= 9/9

=> y = 1

Again, putting the value of y in equation (2) we get

x = 8 × 1

x = 8

Hence, Number = 10y +x

= 10×1 +8

= 10+ 8

= 18 Ans.
