Answer:-

Thick wires are used for the wearing of appliances like air conditioners electric heaters or electric iron which draw heavy current because thick wires allow current to páss  through them this is because as we know from Ohm's Law resistance of a wire is  inversely proportional to the area of cross section of the wire , so if the area of cross section of the wire increases the resistance will get decreased making current to flow easily through the wires.

✩OHM'S LAW✩

Ohm's law states that the potential difference across a given conductor is directly proportional  to the amount of current flowing through it, provided all physical conditions and temperature, remain constant.

⋆Equations of Ohm's Law⋆

\boxed {\sf V = IR}

or

\boxed{\sf I = \dfrac{V}{R} }

or

\boxed{\sf R = \dfrac{V}{I}  }

\red\bigstar Where R is resistance of the conductor , V is the potential difference across the conductor , I is the amount of current flowing through the conductor.
