In GALL BLADDER, bile juice gets concentrated.
- Gall bladder is a pouch/sac like organ located on the inferior surface (i.e. below) of the liver (i.e. largest gland)
Anatomy:
- It has three parts : Fundus, Body and Neck.
- It is present in close proximity to the duodenum.
Function:
- The main function of the gallbladder is to temporarily store and concentrate the bile juice from the liver.
- This concentrated bile is responsible for fat digestion.
Pathological Conditions:
- Chole-lithiasis : Stones in gallbladder.
- Cholecystitis : Inflammation of gallbladder.
- Carcer of Gallbladder, etc.
Hope It Helps.
