Thing can be cut easily by the sharp edge of a knife but not by bulnt edge

because pressure is indirectly proportional to area.if more area then less pressure and if less area then more pressure

because in a sharp knife there is more friction as compared to the blunt knife & also when the area is less than the pressure will be more.
