Anything moving has kinetic energy and the magnitude scales with velocity.

KE = 1/2 * mass * (Velocity)^2

A skydiver falling at terminal velocity.

A bullet

A pendulum at the bottom of its arc

A bowling ball

A skateboarder just after riding down a ramp

A softball after being thrown

A flowing river

A spacecraft even when the engines are off

A meteor hurtling towards earth

A spitball, possibly behind your physics teachers back

An object is said to be have \textbf{kinetic energy} if it have mass as well as velocity.

So all object who have mass and velocity must have kinetic energy.

Like :

1. Moving ball

2. Revolution of earth.
