Initially the speaker was sad. Ex. bring sad thoughts to the mind.

yes there is a change in his mood at the end as he mentioned , " it seemed a thrill pleasure" and " That there was pleasure there."

the speaker was very sad upset as he was upset with mankind in general because he thinks man has made a mess of his relationships with his fellow man. Althrough the every part of nature revels pleasure ,the human being are caged in misery by rejecting nature
