Delhi is situated in the north. It enjoys 4 seasons - Winter, Summer, Spring & Autumn. Weather of Delhi is far different from Chennai. From Dec to Feb, Delhi experienced cold conditions when minimum temperature records in a single digit. March experienced pleasant conditions. April, May and June are months of hot conditions when maximum temperature go beyond 40 degree Celsius. July, August and September are months of rains and humid weather when south-west monsoon arrives. October and November are known for pleasant weather.

Delhi lies in the north of India which is colder when compared to Chennai which lies in the south part of India. Chennai is a costal region because of that reason it is humid, whereas Delhi's climate is colder also because it lies near Himalayas.
