1)sand and sugar is a mixture because they are not chemically bounded together and they show their property of their constituents.

2)air is regarded as a mixture because the constituents of air such as hydrogen, oxygen and helium etc can be separated by using fractional distillation process. and the gases are showing their own constituent property.

4)suspended impurities sink at the bottom after using alum because when alum is added in the water carrying tiny particles of impurities then the particles

become heavy and large and automatically goes down at the bottom.
