think of a number and subtracts 5/2 from it I multiply the result by 8 and the result are finally obtained is three times the same number I thought of what is the number​

x - 5/2 = 3x/8

x - 3x/8 = 5/2

5x/8 = 5/2

therefore, x/8 = 1/2

x = 4
