subtract 15x from 17x

1) If your mother has some chocolates, but you Don't know how many she has, and you father too has some chocolates, but you don't know how many he has, But you know the total number of chocolates they have . let that be 50. so, you can form the algebraic expression :

x+x=50.

2x=50

x=50/2

x=25

2) If your friend ( let us name her A) has 20 chocolates. And your other friend , ( let us name her B ) has a certain number of chocolates that you don't know. But, the diffrence between the amount of thier chocolates is 10.  so, you can form the algebraic expression :

x-x=10.

20-x=10.

x=10+20

x= 30.
