There are a number of natural disasters that are a cause of decline in animal population. Earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and natural forest fires have drastic effects,. There are almost SIX HUNDRED natural disasters in inhabited areas. Disasters come harder and faster for small animals than they do for humans. For example, if there's a heavy rain, it may cause the river water burst out of its riverbed. Now, this may cause no harm to humans living there but can cause a serious harm to the animals living there.
