I am food. Firstly i am chewed in mouth and that was very terrible moment and dangerous for me. Because i am chewed and broken down into small pieces that is very sad moment. Then i go through a pipe which swallowed me.Then i go to stomach where Hcl,pepsin,mucus acts on me and makes me very small so i can be digested. It is a very sad journey.

The place through where I entered was the buccal cavity There were 32 teeth in total and a very muscular shaped organ called the tongue which had salivary glands associated with it which released saliva .
The teeth crushed me and chewed me and mixed with the saliva which is secreted by the salivary glands. This saliva was properly mixed with the me by the tongue. Thus inside the mouth, the teeth, saliva and tongue all work together. The saliva acts on my carbohydrate (starch) content of me and breaks them down to sugars. Starch Saliva.Once I was properly chewed and mixed with the saliva, the tongue then rolled me into small balls called bolus.
I went through a long tube like muscular structure called the oesophagus.
when I entered the stomach it gave me three secretions which are hydrochloric acid, mucous and gastric juice. These secretions are given out by the gastric glands located in the inner lining of the stomach. The hydrochloric acid makes the surrounding medium of the stomach acidic which helps the gastric juice to carry out the process of digestion further. The hydrochloric acid also kills the germs that might hav e entered along with the food and further softens the food . To protect the inner lining of the stomach from the secretion of acid, mucous is secreted. The gastric juice acts on the protein content of the food and breaks it down to simpler substances. Very little amount of fats are digested in the stomach. I was partly digested and became thick. Then I passed to the which passes on to the small intestine.
In the small intestine, I received secretions from the liver, pancreas and intestinal glands. The liver secretes the bile. Bile turns the surrounding medium of the small intestine basic which helps the pancreatic juice to carry out the process of digestion. Bile breaks down the fat content of the food into smaller globules . The pancreatic juice is secreted by the pancreas which breaks down my carbohydrate, protein and fat content into simpler substances. The entire process of digestion is completed by the intestinal juice which is secreted by the intestinal glands. The intestinal juice acts upon the carbohydrate, protein and fat component of me and converts it to sugars (glucose), amino acids, fatty acids and glycerol respectively.
There are numerous finger like outgrowths in the inner walls of the small intestine. These are called villi. The villi help in carrying out the process all of my nutrientsand in me to get digested by increasing the surface area. I was easily absorbed by the blood present in the blood vessels of the villi. Once I was absorbed then it is circulated throughout the body by the blood and reached the large intestine
In the large intestine it extracted the extra salts and water and I was then stored in the rectum untill I was pushed out of the body through the anus in the facial matter.
