Second eq. of motion is
S = ut + ½ at2
Substitute t = (v-u)/a   (from 1st eq.of motion) in the above and simplify:

S = u(v-u)/a + ½ a [(v-u)/a]2
2S = 2u(v-u)/a + (v2 + u2 - 2uv)/a

2aS = 2uv - 2u2 + v2 + u2 - 2uv
2aS =  v2 - u2  (third equation)
