To Form :
A polynomial whose zeroes are the above mentioned.
Solution :
We know that to form any polynomial we use the below formulae :
k[x² - (Sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes]
- Where k is any constant.
Here , Sum of zeroes :
2+√5+2-√5 = 4
Product of zeroes :
(2-√5)(2+√5)
[Using the identity of A²-B²= (A+B)(A-B)]
2²-(√5)²
= 4-5
= -1
Then again coming to the formula :
k[x² - (Sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes]
k[x² - (4)x + (-1) ]
k[x² - 4x-1]
Here k = 1
Then , the required polynomial is x²-4x-1.
